Judgement Days

Judgment Days are periods of time during which the Supreme Court in heaven sits to render judgment. The heavenly court is made up of the Supreme Judge, Jehovah God, and His associate Judge, Jesus Christ. (Isaiah 33:22) Judgment means the act of determining what is conformable to law, or, Scripturally, God’s expressed will. Judgments with God are righteous and according to His own high standards of justice. Once pronounced they are never subject to reversal. They can be either judgments of divine favor or judgments of divine condemnation. The resulting favor or condemnation may extend individually or to an entire family, community or nation, depending on the nature of the offenses. In all judgment periods, past, present and future, the death sentence always means everlasting destruction with no hope of resurrection.

Jehovah’s Judgments Are Righteous and Occasions to Rejoice

Psalm 96:10-13 “Say among the nations, Jehovah reigns: the world also is established that it cannot be moved: He will judge the peoples with equity. Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice…. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with His truth.”

Isaiah 26:9 “With my soul I have desired you in the night; yea, with my spirit within me I will seek You earnestly: for when Your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.”

Romans 11:33 “Oh the depth of God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How unsearchable His judgments are and past tracing out His ways are!”

Edenic Judgment Day (c.4025 B. C.) Brought Condemnation to Adam and Eve and Disabilities to Their Offspring

Genesis 3:8-21 “And unto Adam He said, Because you hast hearkened unto the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat of it: cursed is the ground for your sake; in toil shall you eat of it all the days of your life; thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to you; and you shall eat the herb of the field; in the sweat of your face shall you eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; … for dust you are, and unto dust shall you return.”

1 Timothy 2:14 “Also Adam was not deceived, but the woman was thoroughly deceived and came to be in transgression.”

Romans 5:12, 16 “That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned— . .. For the judgment resulted in condemnation from one trespass.”

Judgment of Noah’s Day (Ending 2370 B.C.) a Pattern of End of World

Luke 17:26, 27 “Moreover, just as it occurred in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of man: they were eating, they were drinking, men were marrying, women were being given in marriage, until that day when Noah entered into the ark, and the flood arrived and destroyed them all.”

Genesis 6:5, 7, 9, 13, 18 “The Lord saw that the wickedness of man on the earth was great, and that the whole bent of his thinking was never anything but evil, [ Jehovah determined:] ‘I will blot the men that I have created off the face of the ground, both men and animals, reptiles, and birds of the air; for I regret that I ever made them.’… Noah alone among his contemporaries was a pious and exceedingly good man; Noah walked with God…. ‘I have resolved on the extermination of all mortals; for the earth is full of wrong-doing through them; I am going to exterminate them from the earth. But with you I will make a covenant; you shall enter the ark, accompanied by your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives.'”

2 Peter 2:5 “And He did not hold back from punishing an ancient world, but kept Noah, a preacher of righteousness, safe with seven others when He brought a deluge upon a world of ungodly people.”

Judgment Day of Sodom and Gomorrah (a.1919 B. C.) Also Foretells Finality of Judgment

Luke 17:28-30 “Likewise, just as it occurred in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building. But on the day that Lot came out of Sodom it rained fire and sulphur from heaven and destroyed them all. The same way it will be on that day when the Son of man is to be revealed.”

Genesis 19:24, 25, 29 “Then Jehovah rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Jehovah out of heaven; and He overthrew those cities, and all the Plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground. And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the Plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when He overthrew the cities in which Lot dwelt.”

2 Peter 2:6-9 “And by reducing the cities Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes He condemned them, setting a pattern for ungodly persons of things to come, and He delivered righteous Lot. … Jehovah knows how to deliver people of godly devotion out of trial, but to reserve unrighteous people for the day of judgment to be cut off.”

Romans 9:29 “Also just as Isaiah had said aforetime: ‘Unless Jehovah of hosts had left a seed to us, we should have become as Sodom and we should have been made just like Gomorrah.’ “

John 4:35-38 “You say, do you not, that there are yet four months before the harvest comes? Look! I say to you: Lift up your eyes and view the fields, that they are white for harvesting. Already the reaper is receiving a reward and gathering fruit for everlasting life.”

In fact, Jehovah has laid commandment upon us in these words, “I have appointed you as a light of nations, for you to be a salvation to the most distant part of the earth.” ‘ “

Christ Jesus Thoroughly Qualified as Judge

John 5:21, 22, 26-30 “For just as the Father raises the dead up and makes them alive, so the Son also makes those alive whom He wants to. For the Father judges no one at all, but He has committed all the judging to the Son. … And He has given Him authority to do judging, because Son of man He is…. I cannot do a single thing of My own initiative; just as I hear, I judge, and the judgment that I render is righteous, because I seek not My own will but the will of Him that sent Me.”

Acts 10:42 “Also He ordered us to preach to the people and to give a thorough witness that this is the One decreed by God to be judge of the living and the dead.”

And the spirit of Jehovah shall rest upon him,… the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah. And his delight shall be in the fear of Jehovah; and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither decide after the hearing of his ears; but with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.”

2 Timothy 4:6-8 “I have fought the right fight, I have run the course to the finish, I have observed the faith. But he seemed unto his sons-in-law as one that mocked.”

And Jehovah said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. 2 Chronicles 21:11-15 “Because you have not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat your father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah, but have walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, and have made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to play the harlot, like as the house of Ahab did, and also have slain your brethren of your father’s house, who were better than yourself: behold, Jehovah will smite with a great plague your people, and your children, and your wives, and all your substance.”

1,000-Year Day of Test Comes After Armageddon

Revelation 20:1-3, 11-13 “And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven with the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he seized the dragon, the original serpent, who is the devil and satan, and bound him for a thousand years. And he hurled him into the abyss and shut it and sealed it over him, that he might not mislead the nations any more until the thousand years were ended. After these things he must be let loose for a little while. And I saw a great white throne and the One seated on it. From before Him the earth and the heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, . .. and they were judged.”

2 Peter 3:8 “However, let this one fact not be escaping your notice, beloved ones, that one day is with Jehovah as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day.”

Favorable Judgment Based on Right Stand on Kingdom Issue Now

Luke 17:29-35 “But on the day that Lot came out of Sodom it rained fire and sulphur from heaven and destroyed them all. The same way it will be on the day when the Son of man is to be revealed. . . . Remember the wife of Lot…. I tell you, In that night two men will be in one bed; the one will be taken along, but the other will be abandoned. There will be two women grinding at the same mill; the one will be taken along, but the other will be abandoned.”

Matthew 25:34-40 “Then the king will say to those on His right: ‘Come, you who have My Father’s blessing, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the world’s foundation. For I became hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I got thirsty and you gave Me something to drink. I was a stranger and you received Me hospitably; naked, and you clothed Me. I fell sick and you looked after Me. I was in prison and you came to Me. … To the extent that you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you did it to Me.'”

Individually Judged as to Those Works They Perform According to Requirements During That Test Day

Ezekiel 18:20-23 “The soul that sins, it shall die: the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. But if the wicked turn from all his sins that he has committed, and keep all My statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. None of his transgressions that he has committed shall be remembered against him: in his righteousness that he has done he shall live. Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked? says the Lord Jehovah; and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?”

Revelation 20:12, 13 “And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened. But another scroll was opened; it is the scroll of life. And the dead were judged out of those things written in the scrolls according to their deeds. And the sea gave up those dead in it, and death and hades gave up those dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds.”

Final Test When Satan Released at End of 1,000 Years

Revelation 20:7-10 “Now as soon as the thousand years have been ended, Satan will be let loose out of his prison, and he will go out to mislead those nations in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together for the war. The number of these is as the sand of the sea. And they advanced over the breadth of the earth and encircled the camp of the holy ones and the beloved city. But fire came down out of heaven and devoured them. And the Devil who was misleading them was hurled into the lake of fire and sulphur, where both the wild beast and the false prophet already were; and they will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”

Faithful Given Reward of Everlasting Life, but All Others Destroyed

Luke 20:35, 36 “But those who have been counted worthy of gaining that system of things and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage. Isaiah 65:20  “There shall no more come thence an infant of few days, nor an old man that shall not have the full length of his days; for as a lad shall not die a hundred years old; and as a sinner shall be accursed he who (dies) at a hundred years old.”

Revelation 20:5, 14, 15 “(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) And death and hades were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire. Furthermore, whoever was not found written in the book of life was hurled into the lake of fire.”

Romans 6:23 “For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord.”
